| During the visit MP hold discussions with Manager and workers of the company. MP also paid his attention towards the problems of 170 workers working at the factory and also made promise to take necessary steps to solve the problems of the workers. This is the most important factory in the Eastern province. Earlier 3000 workers employed in this factory and it earns more income in the past. Profit of this factory helped to construct the Embilipitya paper factory but at present this factory is facing major losses. It was also revealed factory need to pay Rs.10 million electricity bill. However due to the effort of Manager and Assistant Manager they were able to receive electricity supply for the factory. Sources further said factory administration fail to pay salary towards the workers for month of November due to this workers are facing difficulties to carry out their day today life. |
